Holy Matter/s is a multidisciplinary art and crafting space that explores the tangible connections to the sacred.
Inspired by the book "Holy Matter: Changing Perceptions of the Material World in Late Medieval Christianity” by Sara Ritchey, I use this space to play with concepts of the sacred with my art. I explore ritual, purpose, intention, chaos and try to connect the dots between death, nature, sex, god, beauty, and the unknown. I love exploring these themes through vibrant color, texture, and seasonal crafts made in small batches with great intention.
Products can be found on the story page which will be updated seasonally with more items available October-February. Some items listed are shipped using drop ship services and will have an unlimited supply while the design is up. Other products like herbal blends, ceramics, paintings, and whatever else strikes my fancy in a season will be in limited supply.

The Moon Faced Oracle
The Moon Faced Oracle is a multidisciplinary piece of work made up of hand painted oracle cards inspired by mystical places, legendary figures and magical creatures from SWANA (South West Asian and North African) folklore and histories.
This is an ongoing project set to be released as an oracle deck with an accompanying cookbook, ritual guide, and retellings of some of the myths that inspire this work.
In addition to the watercolor paintings that are used to create the oracle deck, this project also includes a series of acrylic paintings and a set of performances where I offer oral retellings of the legends within.
