My name is Camellia Jahanshahi, and I also go by Mina Minou!
I am an Iranian-American multidisciplinary artist, burlesque performer, teacher, producer, cook, somatic worker, death doula and community worker living in Tio’Tia:Ke / Moonyang/ Montreal.
On this site you’ll find a few different sides of me for I am large and I contain multitudes! But this is first and foremost a place for my creative work. Information and examples of my work as an artist and how to work with me either as a performer, creative coach or to explore my visual work.
With over 15 years of experience in the community sector, I find the most fulfillment in creating spaces of solidarity and joy, facilitating creative spaces, and supporting others in their work to uplift their communities and better understand their role in our eco system. My ultimate goal is to encourage a sense of belonging, pleasure, and joy.
I also run The Tilling Place, an area dedicated to more consulting and non profit work that I keep separate from my personal artistic expressions that you find here. I offer different styles of coaching on each page, but the coaching you’ll find here is really centered for burlesque, drag, and cabaret performers and other creatives interested in deepening their creative practices.
